88 Qing Bing – Dakou Zhong

Very special aged tea. This is “big mouth” (dakou zhong) version of the ’88 green cake. It was made for export to Taiwan. The tea has been imported early in its life by Taipei Dayou proprietor and stored since then.

Now, if you ever try to buy a cake like this, chances of not getting some fake or a fanciful story of different “misters” are almost zero. What sets this cake apart is that it has Dayou seal and they guarantee authenticity with their reputation.

Although the exact month and year of production are difficult to figure out, it was pressed sometime in the 80s. The wrapper matches that of a Snow Mark, which started in the 70s.

The cake is in very good condition as pictured and it is sealed and unopened. Approximately 357g.

I was lucky enough to get few cakes and I am sharing a single one. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
